A Museum Tour Through Aviation History

Steven Udvar-Hazy Center

The Museum's Steven Udvar-Hazy Center near Dulles Airport in Virginia was dedicated and opened to the public on December 11, 2003, at which time a large part of the Museum's in-storage collection of large aircraft and other artifacts was put on public display for the first time. The aircraft and spacecraft on display here include the Space Shuttle Enterprise, the Concorde supersonic transport, the SR-71 Blackbird, the prototype Boeing 707, and many World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam War era aircraft. After I've had the opportunity to tour that facility -- camera in hand -- I'll post a virtual tour of the exhibits here on Sandcastle V.I.. In the meantime, below are the front and back of a flyer published by the National Air and Space Museum depicting the Hazy Center's layout.
