The Early Years

Here are a few early "Selene originals." The first two are drawings she did in the 2nd grade. The third was done on an Atari home computer with a graphic tablet. When Selene was about 8 years old, the local newspaper, The Virgin Islands Daily News, ran a "back to school" coloring contest, and Selene decided to be creative. She used the Atari's graphic tablet to trace the drawing published in the newspaper and color it on the computer. She didn't win the coloring contest, but she did win a special award for her creativity.

When in middle school, Selene began to develop an interest in fashion, and drew many fashion sketches of original clothing designs. The last picture below is one of her fashion drawings.
