Introduction to Selene's Art

Personal Insights

Like most parents, my wife Helena and I are quite proud of our daughter Selene. [By the way, as you've probably already noticed going through my web site, I'm a big science fiction fan. Well, the name "Selene" and our pronounciation of it -- "sell-ah-knee" -- came from a character in the the award-winning novel The Gods Themselves by Isaac Asimov.]

Anyway, Selene received a Bachelor of Science in Design degree (Magna Cum Laude) from Lynn University, Florida in May 1999 and is now a web and graphic design artist with Artisian Design & Communications (also in Florida). From a very early age, she had shown an interest in artistic endeavors, at different times deciding that, when she grew up she wanted to become an art teacher, a fashion designer, and even a professional gardener (who uses artistic skills to arrange plants and flowers in a pleasing way).

In this section of Sandcastle V.I., I present just a small sampling of Selene's artwork over the years. I invite you to visit her own iDesign Studios web site for a look at some of Selene's professional web site design work.
