Disney's Animated Classics
Wartime AnimationDuring the years of World War II (and for a short time thereafter), Walt Disney produced a series of animated public service films that either helped in the war effort or provided educational information on health-related topics. Few people today are aware of this aspect of the Disney animation legacy. One of the most prominent of these "wartime" films was Victory Through Airpower, a feature-length film that combined animation and live action to promote the idea of using airpower to win the war against Germany and Japan. This feature is highlighted on the page on Live-Action/Animated Features.
