Season One - Dr. David Keel

Hot Snow

Dr. David Keel's fiance' is killed by a drug gang and, with help from John Steed, goes out to avenge his fiance's death; but the gang leader escapes. [Note: Only about 20 minutes of this episode has survived.]

Brought to Book

Keel and Steed infiltrate two rival gangs implicated in Keel's fiance's murder and set a plan in motion to bring them to justice. Keel and Steed decide to work together against organized crime.

Square Root of Evil

Steel infiltrates a gang planning to floor Britain with counterfeit bills and, with the help of a gang leader's wife, alets Keel to come to his aid.

Nightmare

Keel is mistaken for a missing government scientist and is subjected to a kidnapping attempt and an attempted murder while on the operating table, but Steed arrives in time to save the day.

Crescent Moon

Steed investigates the kidnapping of the daughter of a pro-Western Caribbean leader, and discovers that the leader's wife has political aspirations of her own.

Girl on the Trapeze

Following up on the case of a girl's body recovered from a river, Keel finds that a circus is being used to smuggle a scientist's daughter back to her home country from which she and had father had fled. [Note: This episode has survived in its entirety.]

Diamond Cut Diamond

Steed is drugged and framed for the highway death of a young woman, all as part of a plan to blackmail him into smuggling diamonds into New York.

The Radioactive Man

An immigrant worker at a government research lab unwittingly removes a container of radioactive material and, when police try to contact him, he hides because he has a forged passport; meanwhile, Keel tries to locate the man before he contaminates people with whom he comes in contact.

Ashes of Roses

Investigating several cases of suspected arson, the trail takes Steed and Carol (Dr. Keel's receptionist) to a beuat salon that's to be the next arson target in an insurance scam.

Please Don't Feed the Animals

A civil servant is being blackmailed, and Steed investigates to find that a young woman and her pet monkey are the ones behind the blackmail scheme.

Steed tails a burglar released from prison to try to find where he hid his stolen loot; but a couple of thieves join forces with the former prisoner's wife to try to find the loot for themselves.

Dance with Death

Following the strangulation of the owner of a dance school, Keel and Steed find that the murder is tied to a formerly accused killer who plans to make off with a rich dance school student's diamonds.

One for the Mortuary

Intrigue follows Steed and Keel over seas, where they are to deliver an important new medical formula; but they are intercepted by a series of thugs who are also after the formula.

The Springers

At Steed's urging, Keel impersonates a convict trying to arrange for a prison escape so that Steed can track down the individuals operating the escape route.

The Frighteners

Steed and Keel track down a group of thugs who have a business of beating up people for hire and, in the process, also save a young woman from marrying a con artist. [Note: This episode has survived in its entirety.]

The Yellow Needle

When an attempt is made on the life of an African leader, Keel in London and Steed in the African country flush out the would-be killer, who plans to infect the African leader with yellow fever.

Death on the Slipway

Steed goes undercover to try to flush out a foreign agent who is trying to get the plans for a nuclear submarine that is under construction.

Double Danger

When Keel is called to treat an injured man, he figures out that the man and his companion were involved in a recent diamond heist and, with help from Steed and Carol, the criminals are apprehended.

Toy Trap

Helping the daughter of a fellow doctor track down her missing friend, Keel and Steed uncover a prostitution ring run by the housekeeper of the apartment where the girl lives.

The Tunnel of Fear

Steed investigates an escape convict who is being treated by Keel, and learns of a spy ring that is operating from a fun fair in a nearby town.

The Far Distant Dead

Responding to an emergency in Mexico resulting from a hurricane, Keel and a Mexican doctor trace the source of hydraulic oil sold to the unknowing villagers as cooking oil to a wealthy financier in Europe.

Kill the King

Steed stops a plot, by dissidents from a small country, to assassinate their king during a diplomatic trip to London.

Deadly Winter

When Steed and Keel investigate the murder of a wanted Nazi war criminal, they discover a plan for secret experiments in cryogenic freezing.

The Deadly Air

When scientists working on a new vaccine for a deadly disease are attacked, Keel and Steed investigate and find that one of the scientists wants to benefit financially from the new drug.

A Change of Bait

a shipment of bananas serves to help Keel and Steed flush out and stop a corrupt businessman who's in the insurance racket.

Dragonsfield

Steed flushes out an attempt to sabotage experiments to develop a material to shield space travelers from radiation in space.
