Legend of the Rangers: To Live and Die in Starlight (2-Hr. Special)

A small Ranger ship called the Liandra escorts the flagship Valen on a secret diplomatic mission to an uncharted world. Both ships are attacked by a mysterious race and the Valen is destroyed. The Liandra's crew has to overcome severe damage to their ship and an enemy spy on board to bring the survivors from the Valen to safety. In the process, they learn of another ancient race, known only as "The Hand," that is even more powerful and threacherous than the Shadows. [Note: This TV movie was intended to serve as the pilot for a new Babylon 5 series on the SciFi Network.]
