Season One - Signs and Portents

Midnight on the Firing Line

A Centauri colony on Ragesh 3 is attacked and destroyed, apparently by Narn ships, although Narn Ambassador G'Kar denies any involvement of the Narn government. However, when Commander Sinclair tracks down and captures the base of interstellar trade raiders, he finds evidence to implicate the Narns.

Soul Hunter

A mysterious alien rescued from a crippled ship that appears through the jump gate is revealed to be a "soul hunter," one who captures the souls of beings as they are about to die, supposedly to preserve them. However, Minbari Ambassador Delenn knows that the souls of the deceased are really being imprisoned by the soul hunter and tries to stop him.

Born to the Purple

While Security Chief Garibaldi investigates mysterious communications being made from the station's comm system, a mercenary steals the "purple files" from Centauri Ambassador Londo Molari's room in a plan to sell them to G'Kar, who would use them to blackmail Molari. Meanwhile, Garibaldi finds that the mysterious communications are being made by First Officer Ivanova, whose father is dying back on Earth.

Infection

An old friend of Medical Chief Dr. Franklin comes aboard the station with 1000-year old devices from an ancient civilization and attempts to enlist the doctor in a campaign to conduct research on the artifacts. But Dr. Franklin soon discovers that the artifacts are really artificially-intelligent biological weapons that his friend wants to develop for military purposes.

The Parliament of Dreams

As his last act before dying, an old foe of G'Kar sets a member of the Assassin's Guild on a mission to kill G'Kar, and as a multi-cultural religious celebration begins aboard the station, G'Kar finds his attentions diverted to trying to identify and stop his would-be assassin.

Mind War

A Psi-Corps member with unusual telekinethic powers arrives on the station, trying to evade pursuing Psi-Cops, who soon begin a telepathic hunt for information on their prey's whereabouts. The Psi-Cops will apparently stop at nothing to capture the telekinethic in order to gain the secrets to his powers.

The War Prayer

A famed Minbari poet is attacked by "pro-Earth" fanatics who are becoming more active on the station, and Commander Sinclair infiltrates the group, only to learn that Ivanova's former lover is one of its leaders.

And the Sky Full of Stars

Two Earth Alliance agents come to the station and subject Commander Sinclair to psychotropic drugs and cybernetic mind manipulation in an attempt to learn from him the truth about what happened to him at the Battle of the Line during the Earth-Minbari War. Among his memories, Sinclair learns that he had been brought aboard the Minbari cruiser and to a council that included among its members Minbari Ambassador Delenn.

Deathwalker

A woman, known as Deathwalker because of her role in the extermination of the Dilgar race, comes aboard the station with a serum that she claims can give immortality; and Commander Sinclair must balance his desire to secure the serum for the benefit of humans and the desire of the other races on the station to have justice with regard to the woman's past crimes.

Believers

A young boy with a blockage of his air passages will die without surgery; however, his parents absolutely refuse any invasive procedure because of their religious belief that the boy's soul will escape through the opening, leaving an empty body shell behind. When Dr. Franklin ignores the parents' wishes and operates on the boy, terrible consequences occur.

Survivors

When the newly-elected Earth President, who favors an Earth-alien trade agreement, comes aboard the station, "pro-Earth" fanatics begin attacks on the station in an attempt to kill the President; meanwhile, a member of the President's security force launches an investigation of Garibaldi's possible involvement with the "pro-Earth" group, an investigation sparked by the desire for revenge for Garibaldi's involvement in the death of the security officer's father years earlier.

By Any Means Necessary

As spacedock workers mount an illegal strike for safer working conditions, an Earth Alliance representative threatens to use force against the workers to break the strike; meanwhile, Londo Molari torments G'Kar by withholding the only G'Quan plant on the station, which G'Kar needs to fulfill an important religious ritual.

Signs and Portents

Commander Sinclair and the other station officers must fight off increasing attacks on shipping and on the station itself by raiders intent on capturing and ransoming a member of Centauri nobility and the "Eye," the oldest symbol of Centauri nobility. Only the intrusion of a mysterious alien ship and an equally mysterious man named Morden result in the recovery of the "Eye." Meanwhile, Commander Sinclair and Delenn both encounter signs of their past relationship and portents of things to come.

TKO

While Garibaldi helps an old friend to regain his boxing prowess by participating in what is normally an alien-only contest, an elder rabbi known to Ivanova as "Uncle Yossef" helps her to come to terms with the death of her father, from whom she had been estranged.

Grail

A man searching for the "Holy Grail" unwittingly becomes involved with a hard luck construction worker who feels he is a jinx who caused the loss of the first four Babylon stations and a crime boss who is using a mind-feeding creature to kill his enemies.

Eyes

An Earth Alliance official who was passed up for the position of Babylon 5 commander comes aboard the station with a Psi-Corps member to conduct an investigation of the station officers, supposedly to find out whether any of them are disloyal to the Earth government; but his true motives are less honorable.

Legacies

Minbari Ambassador Delenn intervenes when she learns that a Minbari military officer who disagreed with the Minbari decision to surrender to Earth after the Battle of the Line plans to use the body of one of Minbari's greatest military heroes to instigate a renewal of Earth-Minbari hostilities. Meanwhile, Ivanova and Talia Winters find themselves competing for the right to look after a young orphan girl found that have very strong psi powers.

A Voice in the Wilderness (Part 1)

An Earth scientist and Commander Sinclair begin to investigate planetwide earthquakes and other strange happenings on Epsilon 3, the planet around which Babylon 5 orbits, only to discover a mysterious alien presence on the planet.

A Voice in the Wilderness (Part 2)

As the investigation of Epsilon 3 continues, an Earth Alliance heavy cruiser arrives at the station, ready to mount a full scale attack on the planet; but the wisdom of Draal, Delenn's teacher and mentor, prevails in unlocking the planet's secret.

Babylon Squared

Investigating unusual tachyon emissions at the former location of the Babylon 4 station, which had disappeared within hours after becoming operational, Commander Sinclair and Garibaldi discover that the station and its inhabitants are in a temporal rift that momentarily opened into this space-time continuum. A tantalizing glimpse into the temporal rift reveals an older Sinclair battling an unknown enemy. Meanwhile, Delenn, nominated to become the next Minbari leader, refuses the honor in deference to what she believes is her destiny aboard Babylon 5.

The Quality of Mercy

Investigating the case of a woman who may be defrauding sick persons with a machine she claims can cure all of their ills, Dr. Franklin learns the true nature of the sacrifice the woman is making on behalf of her patients. Meanwhile, station officers deal with the sentencing of a man found guilty of brutal murders aboard the station.

Chrysalis

As Commander Sinclair tries to stop a plot to assassinate the Earth President and Londo Molari deals with the knowledge that his request for help from Morden resulted in the destruction of a disputed Narn colony in Quadrant 37, Delenn enters a chrysalis that will transform her into a different and mysterious entity.
