Caprica (BSG Prequel) - Season One

Caprica (2-Hour Pilot)

A terrorist bombing kills Zoe and Tamara, the teenage daughters of two influential families on Caprica, and while one family tries to cope with the tragedy, the other sets out on a course to resurrect their lost daughter through the use of virtual reality and cybernetics.

Rebirth

The virtual reality avatar of Zoe (daughter of the Graystones gains consciousness in the body of the prototype Cylon warrior and contacts Zoe's friend Lacy; meanwhile, Zoe's mother reveals to the public that Zoe was a member of the Soldiers of the One (STO), a religous cult believed to have been behind the terrorist bombing.

Reins of a Waterfall

The Graystones and Adamas begin to deal with the consequences of Zoe's involvement in the terrorist bombing; avatar Zoe and Lacy find Tamara Adama's avatar in virtual limbo and release her into the virtual world; meanwhile, the Adama family begins to act against the Graystones in retaliation for Zoe's involvement in Tamara's death.

Gravedancing

While the government investigation into the STO bombing continues, the Graystones appear on a vid show to begin damage control on the public backlash against them, and the Adama's proceed with a "hit" meant to even the score with the Graystones.

There Is Another Sky

Joseph Adama tries to mend his relationship with his son and accept the fate of his wife and daughter; meanwhile, Daniel Graystone sets in motion the creation of a race of Cylon robots, and Tamara Adama's avatar finds herself in the virtual world of New Cap City as she tries to escape to the real world.

Know Thy Enemy

Daniel Graystone is confronted by Tomas Vergis, the Tauron businessman from whom he had the MCP memory unit stolen; Joseph Adama searches for a way to contact Tamara in the VR world; Sister Clarice steals a copy of Graystone's software for the STO; and Lacy tries to set up contacts to take Zoe/Cylon to Gemmenon.

The Imperfections of Memory

Joseph Adama enters New Cap City in search of Tamara; Clarice gets closer to Amanda Graystone, who is having hallucinations of her dead brother; Zoe/Cylon continues her attempts to get to Gemmenon; the Graystone-Vergis rivalry goes up a notch.

Ghosts in the Machine

Daniel Graystone tests the Cylon prototype, convinced that Zoe's consciousness is inside; Joseph Adama continues to search for Tamara in New Cap City; and Amanda Graystone faces ghosts from her past and her present.

End of Line

Amanda Graystone learns of her husband Daniel's involvement in the theft of Vergis' MCP; Joseph's search for Tamara in New Cap City comes to an unexpected end; Barnabas strikes out against Sister Clarice; and Zoe/Cylon makes a break for Gemmenon on her own.

Unvanquished

Clarice goes to Geminon to consolidate her power in the STO; Graystone goes to the Tauran mob to help him regain control of his company from Vergis; and Zoe goes into the virtual world after her link to the Cylon robot is broken.

Retribution

Lacey botches a job for Barnabus, exposing members of his STO cell; Graystone and the Adamas begin to exert pressure on Graystone's former business associates; and Amanda Graystone begins to have doubts about Clarice's motives.

Things We Lock Away

Tamara confronts Zoe in the virtual world; Graystone regains control of his company; Clarice holds Lacey hostage in an attempt to find Zoe's "resurrection" program; and Amanda tries to find incriminating evidence against Clarice.

False Labor

Graystone tries to recreate and improve on Zoe's resurrection program by creating and testing an avatar of Amanda; Sam uses a Cylon robot against a rival of the Guatrau; Amanda tries to gain the trust of Clarice's family.

Blowback

Lacy and other STO recruits are sent to a training camp on Geminon, where she begins to see the true brutality of the STO; Agent Duram of GDD learns that there is an STO mole high in the agency's hierarchy.

Dirteaters

Joseph and Sam learn that the Guatrau is selling Cylon robots to the STO; Clarice discovers Zoe's resurrection program; Daniel makes an offer to Sam for protection; the Adama's backstory is revealed; Amanda plants a bug in Clarice's home; Zoe and Tamara take control of New Cap City.

The Heavens Will Rise

Daniel finds Zoe in the virtual world; Clarice prepares her "apotheosis" plan, as Lacy and others within the STO begin to question the group's violent tactics; Sam's loyalties come under question by an agent of the Guatrau; Lacy finds an army of Cylons at the STO training camp.

Here Be Dragons

The Guatrau acts against Joseph and Sam; while the Graystones try to reach Zoe in the virtual world, Clarice's goons attack them; the STO Cylons are set loose by Lacy; the concept of "skinjobs" is born; and tragedy strikes the Adama family.

Apotheosis

Clarice is set to activate her "apotheosis" plan, while her GDD accomplice puts the blame for the impending disaster on the Graystones; Joseph confronts the Guatrau face to face; with Zoe's help, Graystone unleashes the Cylons to stop Clarice. In a 5-minute epilogue labeled "Things to Come," glimpses of future events show the Cylons being recognized as sentient beings, Zoe being resurrected in a humanoid body, Clarice urging the Cylons to rise up against their human creators, and a tantalizing glimpse of future Commander William Adama.

EDITORIAL COMMENT: Unfortunately, SyFy canceled Caprica before it had a chance to meet its full potential. The epilogue contained glimpses of what would have been developed during the series' 2nd and future seasons. I really hope that some other network sees the potential of Caprica and picks it up. So Say We All!
