Crusade

Series Summary

The Drakh -- allies of the Shadows -- have launched an all-out attack on Earth. Led by Interstellar Alliance President John Sheridan aboard the experimental destroyer Excalibur, Earth Alliance forces turn back the Drakh. However, before retreating, the Drakh launch thousands of modules into Earth's atmosphere, contaminating the planet with a virus that, over a period of five years, will leave the planet completely lifeless. Earth Alliance has now chosen Captain Matthew Gideon to command the Excalibur on a galactic quest for a cure to the plague. Captain Gideon assembles a crew that includes his trusted second-in-command Lt. John Matheson, Dr. Sarah Chambers, archeologist Max Eilerson, thieves' guild member Dureena Nafeel (whose homeworld was also left lifeless by the Drakh). Looking over the Excalibur and her crew is Galen, a Technomage who has taken an interest in protecting Captain Gideon.
