While Mac and Brumby face off against each other in the courtmartial trial of a drunken Marine, in the Adriatic Sea off the coast of Kosovo, Harm finds himself at odds with a hot shot F-14 Tomcat pilot who thinks he's the greatest pilot alive.


Rules of Engagement
09/28/99

Mac prosecutes and Harm defends the hot shot pilot [from the previous episode], who is accused of the recklessly killing Russian peacekeepers in Kosovo when he attacked an armored personnel carrier in violation of the established rules of engagement.


True Callings
10/05/99

A seaman is charged with helping a pregnant Bosnian woman stowaway aboard an aircraft carrier; meanwhile, a recon mission over Kosovo goes bad and Harm's wingman is hit by flak over hostile territory.


The Return
10/12/99

Harm returns to JAG after a short, but successful stint as a combat pilot, and his first case is to defend the Secretary of the Navy's son against charges of disobeying a direct order from his commanding officer.


Front and Center

Harm is assigned to prosecute a Marine charged with the attempted rape of a civilian woman, but the only eye witness is another Marine who refuses to testify because of a criminal record in his own past; meanwhile, Mac and Brumby face off in a drug case where the key witness is a sniffer dog.


Psychic Warrior
11/02/99

When secret experiments in ESP result in the death of a seamon with a history of psychological problems, Harm is assigned to defend the admiral who heads the projects; meanwhile, Mac's prosecution of the admiral is fierce, despite her personal worries about the safety of her missing "little sister."


Rogue
11/09/99

Bud is assigned as a participating observer on a security contractor team sent to simulate the capture of a nuclear submarine; but the ex-SEAL security expert actually hijacks the submarine to teach the "brass" a lesson about their complacency regarding the security of military facilities. [Note: Fans of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine might recognize Admiral Kly, head of the submarine base in this episode, as actor Andrew Robinson who played Garak on DS9.]


The Colonel's Wife
11/16/99

Harm and Mac are sent to Panama to investigate the possibility that the Marine Colonel who heads a drug interdiction program and/or his wife are involved in drug trafficking; meanwhile back home, Bud has a personal crisis over his past career choices.


Contemptuous Words
11/23/99

When a newspaper article critical of the President is traced to Harm's computer, he finds himself in a battle to prove his innocence; meanwhile, Mac finds herself in the middle of a custody battle between two women for the frozen sperm of a sailor killed in a traffic accident.


Mishap
11/30/99

When a disabled Tomcat crashes on the deck of a carrier, Harm is assigned to defend his former RIO, who was the carriers Landing Signal Officer at the time of the crash, from charges of deriliction of duty.


Ghosts of Christmas Past
12/14/99

At the Vietnam War Memorial on Christmas Eve, Harm meets a singer who was on a USO tour during the Vietnam War and recounts to Harm her memories of meeting his father and how he saved her life just prior to his being shot down over 'Nam. [Note: Most of the JAG regulars are cast in the role of characters during the Vietnam era. Despite the somewhat somber theme of the episode, seeing our JAG friends in these different roles was a real fun threat!]


Into the Breech
01/11/00

As part of a mock reinactment at military school of a case from 10 years earlier in which a seaman aboard a battleship was charged with causing an explosion in one of the gun turrets that killed himself and 29 shipmates, Harm, Mac, and the student lawyers find evidence that the seaman may have been wrongly accused.


Life or Death
01/18/00

Thirteen years earlier, a Marine Corporal was sentenced to death for killing three and wounding another seven fellow Marines; now Mac is assigned to defend the Corporal in the last phase of his appeals, and her case is based on "insufficient defense" by the prior defense lawyer -- then Commander Chegwidden. [Note: Lt. Commander Mick Brumby has a very touching send off at the end of this episode as he prepares to return to his permanent duty post in Australia.]


Cabin Pressure

While onboard an LST to investigate the murder of a sailor, Harm becomes trapped in the ship's brig with a security officer and the accused killer when the ship runs aground and begins to take on water, flooding the below-decks brig.


Boomerang (Part I)
02/08/00

An American sailor accused of killing an Australian sailor in Sydney during the Vietnam War requests the presence of JAG officers to defend him, setting up a fierce rivalry between Harm and Brumby in the case and for Mac's attention.


Boomerang (Part II)
02/15/00

As the trial of the American sailor accused of killing an Australian sailor and the personal rivalry between Harm and Brumby both continue, the two eventually come to blows.


People vs. Gunny
02/22/00

When a man leaving a gay bar with Petty Officer Tiner bumps into Gunnery Sargeant Galendez, a street fight breaks out, leading to "Gunny" later being charged with gay bashing and concerns being raised about Tiner's sexual preferences despite the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy.


Bridge at Kong So Ri
02/29/00

North Korean extremists highjack a commercial 747 carrying Harm, Mac, and a Korean War veteran, who was involved in the massacre of Korean civilians during the war, in an act of revenge for the massacre.


Promises
03/28/00

Harm and Mac go head-to-head in a case involving a young female sailor who decides to walk away from her ship when given menial duty; meanwhile Admiral Chegwidden defends a long-time friend who was involved in a non-fatal jet accident and Harriet has a surprise for Bud.


Drop Zone
04/04/00

Mac faces off against Bud and his ambitious assistant in the case of a jump master who may have been drunk at the time of a parachute training accident; and when Mac comes upon a confidential report on the accident, her integrity comes under question.


The Witches of Gulfport
04/25/00

Mac goes undercover to get evidence on the leader of a witchcraft cult who is charged with raping a fellow female sailor who was a member of the cult; meanwhile Brumby goes on an undercover mission of his own for the Australian Navy.


Overdue & Presumed Lost

After the discovery of the wreckage of an American submarine sunk after encountering the Japanese fleet enroute to Peal Harbor in 1941, Admiral Chegwidden investigates the possibility that the sub's warning message was ignored by President Roosevelt to get the U.S. into World War II.


Real Deal Seal
05/09/00

Lt. Rivers has a "contract" put out on Harm in a plan to flush out a hit man posing as a former Seal; meanwhile, Rivers acts as his own defense on charges of assaulting a former Seal who's running for Congress and Admiral Chegwidden considers an offer to be named a Federal judge.


Body Talk
05/16/00

Despite the misgivings of his pathologist friend (Trisha Yearwood), Harm accepts the assignment of defending her father in a retrial of a case in which he was convicted of murdering his wife during a drunken rage.


Surface Warfare
05/23/00

A mishap during a live fire amphibious exercise, which almost kills 15 marines, leads to Bud's younger brother being suspected of dereliction of duty and almost sets off a war between the marines and sailors aboard an amphibious assault ship -- with the JAG team caught in the middle of the conflict.
