J.A.G.

Series Summary

Quite simply, "J.A.G." is the "Judge Advocate General," the legal arm of the U.S. Navy. Commander Harmon "Harm" Rabb, whose father was shot down over Vietnam, was an F-14 Tomcat pilot until night blindness resulted in his being grounded. Harm is now one of a group of lawyers at J.A.G.'s headquarters office in suburban Washington, DC who investigate and try cases involving Navy and Marine personnel. Harm's commanding officer is Admiral A.J. Chegwidden, a former SEAL, and his comrades in the J.A.G. office include Colonel Sarah "Mac" MacKenzie (USMC), Commander Bud Roberts, and Lt. Harriet Sims Roberts. During Harm's first year with J.A.G., his sidekick was Lt. Meg Austin. J.A.G.'s cases take this team around the world and into many dangerous situations. In later years, an emotional bond slowly formed between Harm and Mac, which would not be resolved until the series' final episode.

I realize that J.A.G. isn't a "scifi" show, but it at least fits the overall theme of Sandcastle V.I. because of its emphasis on military, and in particular naval, aviation. Therefore, please excuse its inclusion in this grouping of science fiction episode guides.
