1973: Walt Disney World - Part 1

During the Summer of 1973, my brother and I visited Florida for a couple of weeks, staying with family friends in Miami. We took the opportunity, while there, to make a side trip to central Florida, spending a day each at the Kennedy Space Center and Walt Disney World. At the time, Disney World was just two years old and consisted only of the Magic Kingdom, plus the Contemporary and Polynesian Resorts. Many current attractions at the Magic Kingdom, such as Space Mountain, were still under construction. The photos below show the Magic Kingdom in its very early state.
