1997: Magic Kingdom - Part 3
FantasylandAs you step through the archway between Liberty Square and Fantasyland, you know you're in a section of the Magic Kingdom designed especially for the little kids. But don't let that keep you away if you're visiting without young children. There's still a lot of fun to be had. First up is the light and lively boat ride through It's a Small World. But be warned -- by the time you exit, you'll have the tune firmly planted in your head!

The Castle is home to King Stefan's Banquet Hall, where the hostesses are dressed in medieval gowns and the menu is just as elegant. Other attractions for the youngest children include indoor rides based on Peter Pan's Flight, Snow White's Adventures, and Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. Outdoor attractions include rides on Dumbo the Flying Elephant, the Mad Hatter's Tea Cups, and Cinderella's Carousel. A cable car also provides a Skyway to Tomorrowland for those who would like to ride, rather than walk, to the futuristic section of the Magic Kingdom.

This 25-minute stage show features live actors and puppeteers who realistically portray the story of Disney's animated feature The Lion King. Of course, all the great music is here also. If you don't see anything else in Fantasyland, don't miss this one!

Mickey's Toontown Country FairTucked away in a corner between Fantasyland and Tomorrowland is Mickey's Toontown Country Fair. This section of the Magic Kingdom is actually a renovated version ('96) of what was Mickey's Starland ('89). Here, the little ones will find Mickey's and Minnie's Country Houses, Donald's Boat, and Goofy's Wiseacre Farm among other treats to explore. Mickey's Toontown Fair Hall of Fame is a great place to meet almost all of the Disney characters for pictures and autographes.
