A Drive Around St. Croix
Guide MapSt. Croix, the largest of the U.S. Virgin Islands, is about a 30 minute commuter plane ride from St. Thomas. Historically, Sr. Croix was the agricultural center of the Virgin Islands, but today it is the industrial center, with an oil refinery and a bauxite processing plant on its southern coast. However, St. Croix has a lot of "Old World" charm and a more relaxed life style than the hustle and bustle on St. Thomas. The map below will help you to get your bearings and follow along as we "drive" along in a big loop around the island. The yellow numbers on the map are keyed to the stops in our tour. We'll start in the heart of Christiansted, St. Croix's main town, and proceed counterclockwise. The menu below the map lets you jump to any particular stop. Or, you can just start at Stop 1 and follow the tour along to each successive page.
