Donald Duck Cartoons

Donald Duck first appeared in a 1934 Silly Symphony cartoon called "The Wise Little Hen" and a 1935 Mickey Mouse cartoon called "The Band Concert." His first starring role was in 1936's "Donald and Pluto." During the 1940's, Donald, who was a more comical character, overshadowed Mickey's popularity. Donald appeared in a total of 137 cartoons. His girlfriend Daisy, Uncle Scrooge, nephews Hewey, Dewey, and Louie, and nemeses Pete and Chip 'n' Dale made frequent guest appearances. Donald also starred in the animated features "Saludos Amigos" and "The Three Caballeros" and appeared in the "Mickey and the Beanstalk" segment of "Fun and Fancy Free" and the "Pomp and Circumstance" segment of "Fantasia 2000."
